Day 1 (Friday or Tuesday): Guatemala City Airport - Antigua
Meet in Guatemala City airport and transfer to the colonial city of Antigua, entered in the UNESCO World Heritage. 2 nights accommodation at Posada de Don Rodrigo Antigua or similar.
Day 2 (Saturday or Wednesday): Antigua
Guided tour including the main square surrounded by the cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Palace of the Captains Generals and the Trade Arcade and City Hall, and the most important convents and churches. In the afternoon, visit to San Antonio Aguas Calientes, village of weavers, and Ciudad Vieja, seat of the Captaincy General of Central America.

Day 3 (Sunday or Thursday): Antigua - Chichicastenango – Panajachel
Transfer to Chichicastenango. Here takes place an impressive open air native market. The marketers come down from the mountains and other villages to central plaza, between the church of Santo Tomas and the Calvary church. One can find flowers and fruits; weavings, wood carved pieces and pottery among other handicrafts. In Santo Tomas church which was founded in 1541 over a pre-Hispanic holy site, take place catholic and native rites in a surrealistic atmosphere. In the afternoon transfer to Panajachel at the edge of the beautiful lake Atitlán. Accommodation at Posada de Don Rodrigo Panajachel or similar.

Day 4 (Monday or Friday): Panajachel – Santiago Atitlán - Guatemala
The passengers will go across the lake in a boat to Santiago Atitlán, framed by three impressive volcanoes. Visit the shopping street, the church, and the brotherhood where the pagan saint Maximon is worshipped. Return in boat to Panajachel. Transfer to Guatemala City. 2 nights accommodation at Best Western Stofella or similar
Day 5 (Tuesday or Saturday): Guatemala City Tour
Guatemala City tour including the main square surrounded by the National Palace (ancient house of government) and the Metropolitan Cathedral; the Relief Map, scale model of the country where one can have an overall perception of all its features and an introduction to the history and customs of Guatemala, and the National Museum of Archeology and ethnology, that has interesting pieces of ancient Mesoamerican cultures, mainly Mayan.

Day 6 (Wednesday or Sunday): Guatemala - Copán
Drive to Copan. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO, Copan is considered the most artistic of Maya sites for the unique decor of their different structures and the extraordinary amount of hieroglyphic texts. The passengers will visit the Ball Court with its beautiful markers representing macaw heads, the Great Plaza with estalae and altars scattered around, the Acropolis, the Hieroglyphic Stairway temple, and the magnificent Museum of Mayan Sculpture. Day 7 (Thursday or Monday): Copán – Rio Dulce
After breakfast, departure to the Maya site of Quirigua declared Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. It is located along banana plantations in the region of the Motagua River valley. The visit includes the central plaza, the ball game court and the acropolis. The monumental estalae and zoo-morphs stones covered with glyphs all around the site provide us with dates and tell historical data about several rulers until 810 AC after which date all activities have stopped at the site. Continue to Rio Dulce. Accommodation: Catamaran or similar

Day 8 (Friday or Tuesday): Rio Dulce – Livingston - Flores
Boat excursion along the approximately 20 miles from Rio Dulce to Livingston. On the way one can see San Felipe Castle, little fortress built on the XVI century to prevent the attack of pirates that invaded the country through the Atlantic coast and the bird island. Visit of the little town of Livingston that can only be reached by boat. It was first inhabited by Afro-Caribbean that flees slavery on the XVII century. It is currently a fishermen village of mainly garifunas, people crossbred between blacks and Indians, who live in multicolored wooden houses, and still keep their roots and traditions, especially when it comes to the artistic and gastronomic aspects of their lives. Music performed using percussion instruments is present in their daily lives. In the afternoon transfer to Flores. Accommodation: Del Patio or similar

Day 9 (Saturday or Wednesday): Flores – Tikal – Flores/Guatemala
Transfer to The National Park of Tikal, declared as Cultural Treasure of Humanity, in regard of gathering extraordinary cultural and natural resources. The visit includes the Great Plaza, the Lost World, the Plaza of the Seven Temples and the Sylvanus Morley museum. During the visit, various species of birds and mammals among them, monkeys, macaws, peacocks and toucans can be seeing, in the heart of the tropical rain forest.
