Wide Avenues, parks, residential houses in French style are present here, a big contrast to the recently visited “Barrio de La Boca. Here in Recoleta you will visit the unique monumental cemetery, where Evita Peron and other historical persons are buried.
The Tigre Delta This is a half day tour (about 4 hours), a drive through the elegant suburbs of Olivos, Martinez and San Isidro, that will show passengers streets and avenues lined by colorful trees, lovely homes, some from the mid 19th century. After about an hour drive, you arrive to Tigre, on the edge of the enormous Delta of the Rio Parana. Here you will board a typical river boat for a 60' cruise along the canals and streams that thread their way between many islands. The Rio Parana starts far in the North, in Brazil, just south of the Amazon basin, and ends in this vast Delta, before it flows into the Rio de la Plata. The vegetation in the Delta is luscious and dense and many porteños (inhabitants of Buenos Aires) have made sailing clubs and weekend homes, built on stilts because of frequent flooding.
